Monita Kaupa is a member of the bilum makers cooperative Gifted Hands, based in the Chimbu Province of the Highlands Region of Papua New Guinea.

Gifted Hands aims to promote the exquisite craft of bilum making to the world. It works tirelessly to assist members of the cooperative, all of whom are women, to achieve autonomy, dignity and financial independence through the sale of their bilums.
