This natural fibre bilum has been made by Fami Segi who lives in Faniufa Village on the outskirts of Goroka Eastern Highlands of Papua New Guinea, but who is originally from Okapa. This is a traditional bilum, in a zig zag style that is symbolic of the reigon.
The fibres in this bilum are collected and twisted into string and the dyes used are extracted from plants and berries, and as such are not designed to get wet. Please keep them dry.
